Please select the satellite of your choice
- From within the main menu, go to the setup menu
- Navigate until Chan is in focus, then press [enter]
- For each cursor position use the cursors to change it to the appropriate value, [enter] to accept the value
- After the last [enter] you will automatically be taken to the L-Band menu. Press [enter] when focus is on Afrq to be taken back to the setup menu
- Navigate until Sym Rate is in focus, press [enter] to enable changes to the symbol rate. Use the cursors to change the symbol rate to the chosen symbol rate (e.g. 2438). Press [enter] to confirm
- Allow 45 minutes to get the system to work

CSI - LGBX-II
It will autolock on the correct satellite

CSI - DGPS Max
Use the SLXmon program (download here) and the command cable. Connect the command cable with the label command to the COM1 of the computer
- Select File, Connect the default setting is 19200
- Select Control, View Command page.

OmniSTAR 3000LM
Use the command cable (Telephone RJ45 socket in the middle) and the user toolkit program (download here)
- Start 3lusertk.exe
- Select Operation, Channel Selection,Channel Selection by Name, satellite of your choice e.g.

OmniSTAR 3000LR, 3000LR8, 3000LR12, 3000LR12T, 3100LR12D, 8000HP
- From the Start Screen:- Use the 5 buttons and display on the front panel.
- Press the UP button repeatedly, until the "CHANNEL SELECTION" screen appears.
- Press the RIGHT button and observe the display shows Satellite Name or "FREQUENCY".
- Press UP button repeatedly till the display shows " CUSTOM SEE FR / SR"
- Press the RIGHT button and observe the present frequency on the display.
- Press DOWN once to select the cursor. Use the UP and DOWN to set the digits and LEFT and RIGHT to move the cursor.
- Set the chosen frequency (e.g. 1537 440 000) and enter it with the ENTER button.
- Set the Symbol rate to the chosen symbol rate (e.g. 2438) and enter it with the ENTER button.
- Your Receiver is now tuned to the new satellite. Allow 30 minutes to get the system to work

OmniSTAR 3100LM
Use the OmniSTAR usertoolkit program (download here)
- Use the 3100LM command cable and connect the RS232 connector labeled command to the computer
- Start 3lusertk.exe Select Operation, Channel Selection, satellite of your choice (e.g. AF-SAT)
- If the chosen satellite is not available in the list, type the chosen frequency in Hz (e.g. 1537 440 000) and select OK.

OmniSTAR 3100LR8/ 3100LR12/ 3500LR/ 3510LR
Use the OmniSTAR usertoolkit program (download here)
- Use a RS232 connector and connect it to the command port of the receiver
- Start 3lusertk.exe Select Operation, Channel Selection, Channel Selection by Name, satellite of your choice e.g. AF-SAT
- If the chosen satellite is not available in the list, type the chosen frequency in Hz (e.g. 1537 440 000) and select OK.

OmniSTAR 3200LR12
Your 3200LR12 receiver may be capable of autoselecting the correct OmniSTAR beam. To check whether this is the case, use Trimble's 'AgRemote' program (which can be downloaded here), connect the command port of the 3200LR12 to one of the COM ports of your computer using an RS232 cable and start the AgRemote program.
- Click 'File', 'Connect'. Select the correct COM port from the drop-down list and click 'OK'. AgRemote will now try to connect to your 3200LR12 receiver.
- After a connection has been established, the program's 'display' screen will show the receiver state, the number of GPS satellites tracked and the frequency and signal strength of the L-band beam used.
- Click the '>' key until the display shows 'Configuration screen'
- Click the 'v' key once, followed by the '>' key until the display shows 'DGPS Config screen'
- Click the 'v' key until you reach the 'EZ Sat: Omni*' screen
- If the second line of the display reads 'Auto (xxxxx)', where 'xxxxx' is the name or frequency of an OmniSTAR satellite beam, the receiver is already in automatic beam selection mode and you can skip the rest of this instruction
- If the second line of the display only reads the name of an OmniSTAR satellite beam or a geographic area, press the '>' key once (a cursor will start to blink on the first letter of the OmniSTAR satellite beam/geographic area)
- Press the '^' or 'v' keys until the second line reads 'Auto'
- Press the 'enter' key to store the changes. The second line of the display will show 'Auto (xxxxx)' after a few seconds, where xxxxx is the name of the most suitable OmniSTAR beam/geographic area for your current location.
Or Use the View8200 program (download here)
- Use a RS232 connector and connect it to the command port of the receiver
- If your 3200LR12 has firmware version 1.51 or lower you first have to upgrade to the latest firmware. To check the firmware version click "Status - Firmware" in the View 3200 software program.
- Click here to download the latest firmware and the Flashloader100 utility to upgrade your 3200LR12.

- If you do not have to upgrade your 3200LR12 follow the instructions below to change the frequency to the correct satellite frequency with View 3200.
- Select DGPS Source and select the chosen satellite from the list.
How can I set the receiver to auto satellite selection mode, so it selects the proper Satellite frequency?
- Download the Agremote application (see figure 1). (which can be downloaded here),
- Press the Up and Down key on the front panel simultaneously until you reach the Main Screen (see figure 1).

OmniSTAR 5120VBS/5220HP, Hemisphere R120/R130/R220
Although most 5120VBS receivers have been set to ‘auto select’ mode, they still want to continue to use the old EASAT frequency. Just to help the receiver, a one-time manual setup is needed. This is simple using the screen and the front-panel buttons.
When the receiver is powered, you will normally see the following (main) screen:

Press ‘button down’ once to select L-band:
Press the green ‘enter’ button to enter the L-band menu:
Press the ‘button down’ once to select the Configure sub-menu:
Press the green ‘enter’ button to enter the sub-menu:
Press the green ‘enter’ button again. The right-pointing arrow following ‘Mode’ will now change into two small arrow symbols (one pointing up, one pointing down) on top of each other:
Press either the ‘button up’ or ‘button down’ to change ‘Auto’ into ‘Manual’. A small triangular arrow will appear following the word ‘Freq’. Press the green ‘enter’ button again. The screen will now look like this:
Press the ‘button down’ once and press the green ‘enter’ button. You will now be able to change the OmniSTAR L-band frequency:
Press either ‘button up’ or ‘button down’ until the screen shows the AFSAT frequency:

Press the green ‘enter’ button to store the changes, press the ‘button down’ three times (‘Top Menu’ will now be selected) and press the green ‘enter’ button to go back to the main screen.
Now wait for approx. one minute. The green light should be lit again and the receiver should again work in DGPS (VBS) mode.
If needed/desired, the mode may be switched back to ‘Auto’ after approx. 2 hours of operation.

OmniSTAR 7000LR8/ 7000LR12
Use the OmniSTAR usertoolkit program (download here)
- Use the 7000 Command cable with the RS-232 label Command.
- Connect this label to a computer.
- Start 3lusertk.exe Select Operation, Channel Selection,Channel Selection by Name, name of satellite of your choice
- If the chosen satellite is not available in the list, type the chosen frequency in Hz (e.g. 1537 440 000) and select OK.

OmniSTAR 7114LR12
Your 7114LR12 receiver may be capable of autoselecting the correct OmniSTAR beam. To check whether this is the case, use Trimble's 'AgRemote' program (which can be downloaded here), connect port B (when available) or port A of the 7114LR12 to one of the COM ports of your computer and start the AgRemote program.
- Click 'File', 'Connect'. Select the correct COM port from the drop-down list and click 'OK'. AgRemote will now try to connect to your 7114LR12 receiver.

- When the cable only has one DB9 connector, after you have changed the frequency, restore the settings of Port A to Port output NMEA baudrate 9600,8,N,1. The program will reply an error message "Lost communications with the receiver check cables"

The OmniSTAR 8200 receiver can be set to automatic beam selection in the following way. Use the front panel display and keyboard to access/check the different menu items.

- Press the 'v' key once, followed by the '>' key (DGPS Config screen)

OmniSTAR 8300HP /NovAtel Propak-LB / Sokkia 2600 XX
To set the satellite frequency of the 8300HP to the new frequency the following commands need to be send to the receiver:
- assignlband omnistar <frequency> <baudrate> (e.g. assignlband omnistar 1537440000 1200)
- saveconfig

OmniSTAR 8305HP/7300VBS, NovAtel Propak-V3/DL-V3/Smart-V1
The OmniSTAR 7300VBS and 8305HP can be set to automatic beam selection by sending the following commands to the receiver:
- assignlband omnistarauto
- saveconfig

OmniSTAR 8400HP / Topcon Map-HP
By default, the 8400 is set to automatic beam selection. However, if you're not sure whether or not it is still set to automatic beam selection, send the following command to the receiver. Make sure you're connected to the port marked 'HP'
- print,/par/omni/beam/chan
If the receiver returns 'auto', the receiver is already in automatic beam selection mode. If the receiver returns the name of an OmniSTAR beam , send the following command:
- set,/par/omni/beam/chan,auto
You can check whether the command has been processed by sending the 'print,/par/omni/beam/chan' command again and verify it returns 'auto'

ViewAll
How to switch a receiver to another frequency with Viewall.
1) Connect Viewall
2) Go to Configuration
3) Select Satellite Custom
4) Enter frequency 1537440000
5) Enter baudrate 1200
6) Press OK

Trimble Ag432 / BD960 / SPSx5x
By default, the receiver is set to automatic beam selection. However, if you're not sure whether or not it is still set to automatic beam selection, you can check its current settings using the front palen or the web interface.
Using the front panel

Using the web interface
- Using the break-out cable, connect the receiver to your home or company network. Please make sure your network is DHCP enabled and the DHCP server is operational.
- Press the '^' button on the front panel once. The display will now show the current IP address of the receiver in the form www.xxx.yyy.zzz
- On your computer or laptop, also connected to the same home or company network, open a web browser and type 'http://<ip-address of the receiver>' in the address bar
- The receiver's web interface will now show. You might have to enter a username and password to connect. Default values are username 'admin' and password 'password'
- When you're logged in to the web interface, click 'OmniSTAR', followed by 'Configuration' in the left-hand side menu
- The main screen will now show you the status of the External OmniSTAR data, Internal OmniSTAR modulator and the SV name. All three fields should be set to 'Auto'. To change the values of these fields, select 'Auto' from the drop-down list that will appear when you click the 'v' symbol next to the current value
- Click 'OK' to store the changes.

Outback receiver
Use the SLXmon program ( download here ) and the command cable. Connect the command cable with the label command to the COM1 of the computer
- Select File, Connect the default setting is 19200
- Select Control, View Command page.
- Message to Outback in format <text>,<frequency>,<baudrate> (e.g. $JFREQ,1537440,1200 )
- Message to Outback: $JSAVE

Raven/Starlink Invicta Series
the Raven/Starlink receiver satellite frequency can be set by the following command.
- $PSLIS,LBR,TNS,1537.44,2438
The command can be sent with any terminal program connected to the serial port of the receiver.

Satloc SLX
If you have a SLX use the SLXmon program (download here)
- Select File, Connect the default setting is 19200
- Select Control, View Command page.
- Message to SLX in format <text>,<frequency>,<baudrate> (e.g. $JFREQ,1537440,1200 )
- Message to SLX: $JSAVE

Topcon Map-R
To change the frequency & baudrate of the Map-R receiver please use the PC_RCC program from Topcon.

Trimble Ag132
If you have Trimble firmware version 1.51 or lower you first need to upgrade the receiver to the latest firmware. At startup the AG132 shows the firmware version in the display.
If you have an AG132 with model number 33302-00 or 33302-10, click here to download the latest firmware and the Flashloader100 utility to upgrade your AG132.
If you have an AG132 with model number 33302-01 or 33302-11, click here to download the latest firmware and the Flashloader100 utility to upgrade your AG132.
Follow the instructions below to change the frequency to the chosen frequency.
- Use '>' to go to configuration, press 'v'
- Use '>' to go to DGPS Config, press 'v'
- Go to 'Satellite Freq' menu.
- Press the '>' key
- Use the '^' and the 'v' keys to change the digits.
- Use the '>' key to move the cursor.
- Press the 'enter' key.
- Press 'v' to go to baud rate
- Set the corresponding baud rate
- Press the 'enter' key.
- Exit the menu
- Allow 45 minutes to get the system to work

Trimble Ag252
Use AgRemote to connect the Ag252 to a computer or laptop
- Using AgRemote as the front panel display, follow the instructions mentioned under Trimble Ag332/DSM232.
- After changing the settings (if necessary), close AgRemote by clicking 'File'->'Disconnect'. This should restore the communication settings of the Ag252 to what they were before.
How can I set the receiver to auto satellite selection mode, so it selects the proper Satellite frequency?
- Download the Agremote application (see figure 1). (which can be downloaded here),
- Press the Up and Down key on the front panel simultaneously until you reach the Main Screen (see figure 1).

- Press [Enter] to enter the GPS menu
- Press [Enter] to enter the Rover options menu
- Press [F1] for the RTCM menu
- Press [F1] for the DGPS menu
- Use the cursors to highlight the Frequency option
- Press à so the cursor blinks indicating the frequency value may be changed. Use ß and à to move in between characters. Use the numerical keyboard and [Func+Del] to change and delete characters.
- Press ¯ to move to the data rate, use à to change Data rate to 1200
- Press OK to confirm changes
- Allow 45 minutes to get the system to work
