OmniSTAR BV launched a few months ago a new GPS receiver the OmniSTAR 8400HP. Traditionally OmniSTAR provided standard VBS accuracy (in the order of submeter accuracy) but with its new receiver and thanks to its HP service customers are now able to receive real-time decimetre accuracy. In order to receive the HP signal, the users need a dual frequency receiver. OmniSTAR sells the 8300HP and the 8400HP receiver. The 8400HP receiver is specifically well suited for GIS applications as it has internal batteries and optional Bluetooth and internal data storage. Other hardware are also compatible with the OmniSTAR-HP solution. OmniSTAR-HP offers possibilities for companies who need to receive more accurate data than what Single Frequency L1 corrections can provide and where RTK proves to be too expensive. HP has a good record in the following markets: Agriculture, Aircraft, Desert Operations, GIS.
