Dear OmniSTAR partner,
After much positive feedback we are pleased to issue our 2nd
Company Newsletter with our latest product updates and news about upcoming events.
Now that the summer of 2005 is again (almost) behind us, we are recharged and ready to face the coming months. They promise to
be quite busy!!
A significant event will be the upcoming Intergeo exhibition in Düsseldorf (Germany). We will be
exhibiting under the Fugro flag. More information about this show can be found in this newsletter. A following significant event will be for the Agricultural market:
Agritechnica in Hannover.
We are also pleased to offer you an improved HP service. Please ask us for an explanation and live demonstration of our latest product developments.
More and more GPS manufacturers are introducing their own OmniSTAR-HP capable receivers: the NovAtel Propak-LB, Sokkia GSR 2650, Topcon Map-HP, Trimble Ag252 and now also
Trimble's latest product the AG332. More are expected to follow.
At the Intergeo and the Agritechnica shows you will be able to find plenty of information about these products.
Please come and visit our stand and we will be happy to give you a hands-on demonstration.
We look forward to see you at one of the mentioned events.

New 8400HP receiver on Intergeo
During the Intergeo, OmniSTAR will show/demonstrate its new OmniSTAR 8400HP receiver.
This new product is well suited for GIS field applications, because of its compact housing,
internal battery and the optional 32Mb internal memory. A Bluetooth option will become available also later this year.
OmniSTAR-HP is already being used extensively in GIS applications that include trajectory surveys and inspection surveys for
oil and gas pipelines, electricity lines and road construction as well as in land registry applications such as updating cadastral
databases, both on the ground and from the air.

Trimble announces NEW HP capable Ag332 receiver
As always when a new OmniSTAR capable product is launched we are delighted.
This month Trimble announced the introduction of their second HP capable hardware
platform for the Agricultural market (the first one was the Ag252).
The Ag332 is capable of receiving both OmniSTAR VBS and HP and is similar in
performance to the Ag252 offering both submetre and decimetre level
(2-4inch pass-to-pass) accuracy.
The Ag332 receiver differs from the Ag252 in formfactor (it has a separate receiver and antenna)
and is a more portable unit, designed for easy transfer from one vehicle to another.
In addition to vehicle guidance applications, we see great opportunities for customers
in agriculture with related GIS applications where portability or backpack use is preferred.
Trimble joins NovAtel, Topcon and Sokkia in supplying separate receiver/antenna configurations capable of receiving both VBS and HP.

OmniSTAR staff will be among the masses on their bi-annual pilgrimage to the largest Agri-business event in Europe - Agritechnica 2005,
due to be held in Hannover.
Much has changed in the 2 years since our last visit to the show. Since then we have seen former Landstar users join our customer base,
as well as OEM partners such as AGCO. We have also witnessed the emergence of the next generation of OmniSTAR compatible products for
Agriculture from GPS manufacturers including Trimble and Novatel. At the farm gate, farmers continue to rely on VBS for consistent and reliable
submeter precision and we now see tractors running autonomously using our decimetre level HP solution.
We can proudly claim that our high accuracy, wide area solutions are being adopted by those at the forefront of large-scale arable cultivation and equipment manufacturing.
OmniSTAR BV will have a stand at the Agritechnica show. So to whom it may apply, come along, perhaps put some names to faces, learn more of our HP and VBS
solutions and discuss how we can further support your business.

Earlier this year OmniSTAR BV had sponsored a non-stop/ solo sailing trip around the world by Mark Slats
under the name of Oceanstocross. In return for sponsoring Mark with our OmniSTAR-AM Tracking service Mark gave us a 'taste' of
what it was like to sail across the oceans by letting us experience a day on the North Sea. We were blessed with wonderful weather: sunny,
light winds. At the end of the day our Tracking device was returned to us.
Mark expressed his gratitude for having been given the use of our Tracking service that performed flawlessly.
It gave all interested parties that had been left at home, instant insight in exact location, speed, direction as well as a historical trail of where he had been.
It also gave him the reassurance that our 'panic alarm' service could have advised 'the world' instantly of any 'situation' if it would have occurred. Fortunately
it didn't have to and his expedition was finished successfully. At the end a new Dutch record for solo-sailing around the world (age and time required) was set.
We encourage you to have a look at his website www.oceantocross.com
for a look at his experiences. The text is in Dutch, but his pictures speak a thousand words.
More information about our tracking products/service can be found on our company website: www.omnistar.nl
